 OUR CHURCH
Calvary of Elizabeth City is a non-denominational fellowship of Christian believers that welcomes all who call on the Lord Jesus Christ to worship with us. We believe that the love of God, which is greater than any denominational differences we may have with one another, is the Biblical basis for our Christian fellowship.

 We believe the purpose of the Christian church is to bring glory to God and to be God’s instrument of ministry in the world. The local church exists to build up the saints of God through the Word of God, and to bring the saints of God into full maturity so that they may effectively engage in the work of the ministry.

 The membership of Calvary of Elizabeth City is open to all born again Christians, who have been led by the Holy Spirit to make this local fellowship their chosen place of worship. There is currently no formal membership, only a simple commitment to be obedient to the Word of God as disciples of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All people are welcome to attend our worship services and receive the life changing message of God's love through Jesus Christ.

OUR WORSHIP
We believe the Holy Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired, and without error; that the Holy Scriptures contains the infallible rules of faith and practice for all who would profess belief in Jesus Christ. Calvary of Elizabeth City is committed to teaching the simple, powerful, and living Word of God so that we may grow in our understanding of God, and His plan for our lives. We believe obedience to God’s word is the most important part of our worship of God.

 We desire to worship God in spirit and in truth.
Therefore, We Believe:

 The worship of God should be spiritual,
and we remain obedient to the Holy Spirit to direct our worship.

 The worship of God should be inspirational,
and we give place to worshiping God through music.

 The worship of God should be intelligent,
and we rely upon the Word of God to instruct us in our worship of Him.

 The worship of God should produce fruit in our lives,
and God’s love in our lives is the most important evidence that we have been worshiping Him.
